May 13th - Happy Mother's Day

On Mother's Day, we went to Space Center Houston and had some fun looking at space stuff.

May 10th - Double stroller

May 9th - Finger foods

If you look closely, you can see a tiny little bit of puff in Charlie's mouth. He had his 6-month check up today and we got the OK to start finger foods. Charlie weighed in at 21 pounds 14.5 ounces, which is bigger than Jack was at 12 months. He was 28.75 inches long and his head circumference was 18.5 inches. All of his statistics were 95th percentile or above. Wowee!

May 5th - Fun time with Daddy

There was a little lizard on the window that we had fun watching.

It was high time that we break into the sand and water table again. I think Daddy had more fun than Jack. Daddy likes the sand side and Jack likes the water side, which also has a fair amount of sand in it. Jack loves to drink the water - even sticking his face in it at times.

May 1st - More potty training

We have been working a bit more on potty training. We read books - usually I Spy books - during potty time. Jack is excited to get a car diaper (pull-up) after sitting on the potty and stickers if he goes.

April 30th - Stars & Stripes Forever!

Well, probably not forever... Jack wore this for the 4th of July, but Charlie might not even make it to Memorial Day.

April 22nd - Two boys

Jack has been good with Charlie this weekend. Here is he blowing raspberries on Charlie's belly because he saw me doing it to make Charlie smile. Charlie kept grabbing at Jack's ears and hair, but Jack was pretty persistent. Other cute things Jack did today include playing peek-a-boo with Charlie around the crib bumper and singing "The Wheels on the Bus" to Charlie while circling his legs 'round and 'round.

April 21st

Today we went to a birthday party at a local park for one of Jack's friends. Jack had a cupcake with bright green and blue frosting.

April 20th - Stellar Awards

This was my 7th year attending the RNASA Stellar Awards - a black tie rotary event honoring the best of the best in the space industry. We had a really nice time.

April 15th - New bathtub

Charlie upgraded to a new bathtub from the tiny kitchen sink tub he was using. I just love those little chubby baby thighs.

April 14th

We put both boys in Charlie's crib. Charlie likes to grab at Jack like he is a toy. Jack isn't too fond of it usually. He likes to reprimand him, "No hitting, Charlie!" "No pulling hair, Charlie!" In this shot you can't see Jack's long legs and their torsos look to be about the same size.

April 8th - Happy Easter!

April 8th - Easter with Grandma

Rock & roll grandma. Jack likes to count using his fingers and works very hard to get his fingers in the right position to make "airplane" in sign language. Ronny taught him how to put his fingers like this and say "rock & roll!" Today in the car on the way to church he said, "Rock and roll, Grandma!" Excellent!

April 7th - Easter Egg-stravaganza

It is a cold Easter weekend - very unusual for Houston. On Saturday, we went to a festival at church called the Easter Egg-stravaganza. Jack got to hunt for Easter eggs and get a balloon, which is always a big hit.

April 6th

Jack loves to tease us. He will see my pink fuzzy slippers and say, "Jack's shoes!" He cracks us up. He ran around the house for a while with these frog mitts on his hands and pink fuzzy slippers on his feet. A classic look with the Aggie T-shirt.

April 5th

Jack likes to ride his big wheel down the sidewalk from our front door. He picks up a bit of speed and then jumps down the curb. Fast and fun - what more could a little boy want? Whee!!!
