February 14th - Valentine's Day at the Magic Kingdom

Today was our last full day at Disney World and we chose to spend the morning at the Magic Kingdom. We went on the Jungle Cruise, Aladdin’s Magic Carpet, the Mad Tea Cups, the Tomorrowland Transit Authority, the Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin, and Peter Pan’s Flight.

After a quick lunch break, we caught the last morning show of Dream Along with Mickey at the Castle Forecourt Stage. It was really cute, but the best part was when Maleficent came out. No one was happier than my boys! Then it was time to get our Mickey ears and head back for a nap.

In the afternoon, we went to Downtown Disney to check it out. We took a look around and ate dinner at Wolfgang Puck Express, which was nice. In the evening, we went to the Trading Post to get an ice cream treat to have back at the cabin.

February 15th - Our last day

Today was our last day at Disney World. We went to the Contemporary Resort to have breakfast at Chef Mickey’s. During breakfast we were visited by Goofy, Pluto, Donald Duck, Mickey, and Minnie. It was a great way to end our vacation.

After breakfast, we took a spin on the monorail, seeing some of the other resorts on the monorail route. Then it was back to the cabin to pack up our belongings and head to the airport.

January 27th - Baby Pictures

Here are some pictures of our baby girl. In the first picture you can that she is bent in half with her feet up by her face. Since I'm about the least flexible person on the face of the Earth, seeing my flexible little baby girl was a bit surprising. In the second picture, you can see her mid-yawn.

January 24th - Kaiden's Birthday Party

Today we went to Kaiden's birthday party. The boys had a blast playing at the playground, but the best was the Dino Dig. There was a sandbox filled with buried dinosaurs, alligators, and coins. The kids all got plastic forks to dig through the sand and find goodies. The kids loved it, but Charlie wouldn't leave. He sat at the sandbox long after all of the other kids left it. He would dig something up and then rebury it - over and over and over. He loved it.

January 21st - Five Months Pregnant

January 20th - Inaguration Day

Today on the way home, Charlie mentioned wanting to see Nona when we went by Gilruth, as we had seen her going for a jog a week or so ago. I told him that Nona isn’t here, she is in Washington. Jack said, “We talked about that at school today.” You did? I asked what they did and he mentioned seeing pictures of the White House and a man. I asked if it was Barack Obama or the President, not knowing what he saw or did. He said, “It was President Obama. Not Barack Obama. President Obama.”

Later, he told me, “Mrs. President Obama let Mr. President Obama touch her bible.” The way he said it was so funny and somewhat suggestive. Ronny told me later that apparently the kids watched the inauguration on TV in the classroom. They learned all about Washington DC - the White House, the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument, Air Force One, Marine One, etc.

January 1st - Happy New Year!

Today we celebrated Christmas with the Baccus family. It was fun to have all the kids running around and playing together. We were entertained with a variety of puppet shows. Papa had hung some swings in the big tree and the kids loved swinging. Nana led all the kids in an edible craft project where they made cute little snowmen with marshmallows. We all had a great time!

December 31th - Home again

We flew home today and it was time for Christmas in Houston. Santa left some great gifts for the boys including a train table. I had fun setting up the train tracks while the boys played with their toys.

The boys got some fun stuff from Joel and Katherine - a pizza and cake to decorate and serve.

December 30th - Day 12 of Minnesota Christmas trip

Today we went to the Mall of America and visited the aquarium, Underwater Adventures. It is the largest underground aquarium in the world. Much of the aquarium was viewed through tunnels that you walk through, which is pretty neat. We had sharks and stingrays flying right over us.

We went to a Cantina at the Mall for lunch. The restaurant was on the 4th floor overlooking the amusement park. It was a great view. The boys shared quesadillas, but Charlie ate all of the rice and beans. When he was done, he turned sideways in his booster seat and leaned back into me with his hands on his belly. I think it might be time to teach him how to say, "Uff da!"

Poor Charlie is sick. He fell asleep on the floor and slept for hours.

December 27th - Day 9 of Minnesota Christmas trip

We had a nice visit with my friends Will & Nancy and their 3 kids. They have twins that are Jack's age and an older son too. The kids had a great time playing while the adults were chatting.
