April 3rd - On the road

Today we left our house and drove through Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and into Florida before we stopped for the night. We are on our way to Orlando to see the STS-131 space shuttle launch. Josie enjoyed grabbing her brother's arms, especially when she was about to fall asleep.

March 26-30

Isn't Charlie cute in his burgundy patent leather shoes with bows on them?

Josie loves Heidi.
Reading time.
Jack went to his classmate's birthday party at Build-a-Bear
Lucky for him, his girlfriend Sami was there.

We decorated eggs the weekend before Easter since we plan to be on the road then.

The boys are taking swimming lessons for the first time.
The boys love playing with the baby toys and in the playpen with Josie.

These long legs hanging down out of Josie's high chair just kill me. He even put on a bib that says "Little Peanut".

March 20th

Today the kids went to NASA's Spring Fling Easter Party at the Gilruth rec center. The boys had a great time burning off energy in the bounce houses. There was one shaped like an alligator. The kids had to climb up the teeth and fight their way into the body. Charlie kept climbing up and then coming back down. Jack would cycle through the gator and come back around. I asked him to help Charlie through the mouth. He would show him and then shoot right through, leaving Charlie behind. Finally after 3-4 tries, Charlie made it through and was so proud of himself. The boys also got pony rides and saw the animals at the petting zoo before hunting for Easter eggs and enjoying all of the goodies.

In the afternoon, we went to Madsen's for Kenzie's first birthday party. The kids had a great time playing with their friends. It is hard to believe that Kenzie is already one. That means Josie's birthday is right around the corner.

March 18th

Josie loves strawberries.
We had a nice evening playing outside.

March 17th - Happy St. Patrick's Day

This year we celebrated St. Patrick's Day more than ever before. The boys had green milk and green yogurt for breakfast. I even made a modified colcannon recipe for dinner. Jack had lots of leprechaun stories for us. In his classroom, kids' backpacks and other belongings would mysteriously move into different cubbies - all due to the leprechauns.

March 13th - Rodeo time!

Today we went to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. We saw lots of farm animals and the boys got to play in a big tractor.

March 12th - Pajama playtime

March 11th - Blue Eyes

March 6th - 9th

Lots of coloring going on.

He refused to take a nap, but later he was so exhausted he fell asleep right on the floor.
