December 19th - MN Trip Day 1

Wednesday was the day we headed to Minnesota. It started off with some fun - opening Christmas presents from Uncle Joel and Auntie Katherine. Both boys love all of the toys. Jack was singing, "Bob the builder! Can we fix it? Bob the builder! Yes we can!" all morning long.

The airplane ride went pretty well. Jack was great - looking out the window, reading books, and watching some things on Daddy's Ipod. Charlie was less great and quite bored with trying to stay in such a small area. Ugh! Jack has a real big boy bed to sleep in at Grandma's house. He enjoys reading a few books before bed with his Daddy.

December 17th - The Santa Progression

Although he doesn't look it in the picture, Jack was thrilled to go see Santa. When asked by Santa what he wanted for Christmas, Jack simply replied, "Presents."

December 9th - Frrroooogggggggyyyy!!!

Jack got some Froggy books from Santa. They read them at school all the time and he just loves them. He also got a cute book called "Santa's New Jet". The boys were so cute reading books on the floor.

December 8th - Matching goatees

Or could it be the prunes?

December 8th - Santa comes in a T-38

We had our second Christmas party today. This time it was at Mommy's work. Santa came in a T-38 jet. It was really loud, but when the engines shut down, Jack got really excited that Santa was here.

Santa had a little chat with Jack. We aren't sure what was said, but Jack was enthralled.

December 8th - Candyland

December 2nd - Our first Christmas party

We went to our first Christmas party of the season this weekend. It was held at Monkey N Around, the same locale as the boys' birthday party. The kids had a blast and definitely wore themselves out.

I think there were ~15 kids total at the party. Here is a picture trying to grab all of them in one shot.

We took pictures of the bigger girls and boys as well.

Charlie missed the kids pictures because he was getting changed. We figured he would fall asleep on the way home, so we put his pajamas on at the end of the party.

November 22nd - Happy Thanksgiving

We went to Nana and Papa's for Thanksgiving and the boys got to play with their cousins for a little while. Jack had a blast following Camilla around, trying on her bracelets, playing with pink Play Doh, and talking on their phones. Charlie tried to hang with the big kids, but they did a pretty good job of evading him - something he and Violet will have to get used to someday soon.

November 21st - Thanksgiving Eve

We picked the boys up from school early today so we stopped by Rocket Park. None of us had seen the Saturn 5 in the new building.

November 6th - Sweet brothers

For all of the toy grabbing, little brother shoving, and big brother smacking, there are lots of sweet moments with hugs, kisses, and snuggles.

November 4th - Nana and Papa visit

Nana and Papa came for a visit today and brought some birthday presents for the boys.

Papa made Jack a rhinoceros horn for his nose.

November 4th - Ballunar Festival

This weekend was the Ballunar Festival. It is usually held in August when it is unbearably hot and humid. The weather was beautiful today and we watched dozens of balloons fly over us.

November 3rd - Bye bye Grandma!

November 2nd - Family portraits

November 2nd - Happy Birthday Charlie

It was a busy day for all of us. We had family pictures taken in the morning and made a quick trip to the doctor in the afternoon to check Charlie's ears before the weekend. After dinner we had some cupcakes. I had fed Charlie a cupcake at the party last weekend, but I wasn't sure how he would take to eating one by himself. He attacked it! The frosting was gone in seconds. Amazing. When Jack turned one we had to give him training cupcakes the week before his birthday. Charlie needs a bit less training when it comes to eating.

October 31st - Happy Halloween!

Halloween was great fun for the Baccus Family. We went into the childcare center for a costume parade where the young kids go trick or treating through the rooms of the older children.

Uncle Joel (Bobo) and Auntie Katherine sent this great Tonka truck for Jack's birthday. Both boys LOVE it! We were surprised to see Charlie climbed into the truck when we weren't looking.

The boys got this super fun tunnel for their birthday. This is Charlie horsing around before we all went out trick-or-treating. When people would answer the door, Jack would say, "Trick or treating!"
