After the launch, we went to Jetty Park in Cape Canaveral. We arrived just in time to see a submarine being towed out to sea. It seemed to be the icing on the cake. First the
International Space Station passing by the moon, then a space shuttle launch. Why shouldn't we see a submarine being towed out to sea?
We played on the beach and in the water for a bit. I had told the boys that we would go to the beach in Florida and Jack insisted that he wouldn't go in the water. Why? Sharks. I tried to tell him that there wouldn't be any sharks where we would be, but he wouldn't listen. In the end, Jack loved playing in the waves and spent more time in the water than any of us. Josie was less enamoured of the water, so she mostly played in the sand.
