May 27th - Gymnastics

Jack started a gymnastics class this weekend. There are only a few other kids in the class, which is nice. They spend 15 minutes in a big room upstairs with lots of mats, balance beams, bars and rings to swing on, and things they can bounce on. There is also a ladder on the wall to climb. Jack climbed the ladder and sounded the horn. Then he looked down and saw that he was about 8 feet off the ground and promptly freaked out. When we are worn out from the upstairs, we go down a big swirley slide to the downstairs and play in a foam pit. There is a platform that Jack's coach, Travis, sits on and the kids can jump down to their parents. Jack liked that a lot. Then we get to go on the big trampoline. When we've all had our fill downstairs and the kids start getting antsy, we head back up stairs to run around some more. Then Travis gives the kids animal stamps on their hands and legs.
