These are my pictures of the
STS-131 launch. I started out looking through binoculars and remember this large area of orange and the whole world starting to light up like the sun was rising.
The plume cloud was amazing to watch - the different shapes and colors. Eventually it looked like this dragon head.
One of the best parts of this experience is that we got to share it with our friends, the
Madsens, who have kids the same ages as our kids. In fact,
Sami has already declared that she is going to marry Jack (prior to her becoming our Commander in Chief - President
Baccus). Their son, Zach has countered that he is going to marry Charlie. We'll have to see about
Kenzie and Josie. :)
A coworker sent me this picture of the shuttle soaring over Cinderella's Castle at Walt Disney World.
