April 7th - Magic Kingdom

Today we went to Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom. We had a great time - starting with the Dumbo ride.

There's nothing like a good sunscreen faux-hawk with sweet, fine baby hair.

I love Cinderella's carousel. All of the horses are white. They all go up and down. And there is rarely much of a wait.

We took the kids on Pirates of the Caribbean for the first time. Josie was taking her morning nap, so she wasn't too scared. Jack was less thrilled with the "skeleton robots" and ended up with his fingers in his ears and his head on his lap. He was fine afterwards, though. Charlie liked it and wanted to go again.

After Pirates, we went on the Jungle Cruise. It is a nice little boat ride, but the spray from a waterfall woke Josie up.

Next we went on the Magic Carpets of Aladdin. I tried to get Ronny sprayed by the camel, but I'm pretty sure I was the only one who got doused.

We LOVE riding on Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin. You get to shoot aliens with a laser gun and spin your car around - doubly fun. This is one of the three rides where Josie cried when I took her off the ride. The others were the carousel and the tea cups.

For the first time we rode the Carousel of Progress. Could also be the last time we ride the Carousel of Progress.

After lunch we went back to the hotel for naps. As you can see, the boys were wiped out. If only they would have actually taken naps!

Grumpy 111 is the row we parked in. I always take a picture of our row in case we can't remember. Jack remembered a bit too well and when the tea cup ride was done had a pretty good meltdown right there in the cup. Apparently HE wanted to OPEN THE DOOR!!! I tried to get a picture of him laying down on the bench, but I couldn't get my camera out in time. Here he is slamming the door so that he could open it again. Classic. See how red that face is? Now that's good stuff. Don't you wish you were here?

I love how the castle is lit up at night. It changes colors and is beautiful.
